Rediscovering Our Past

I create short films and stories about the places we walk past every day without realising the history beneath them. Our Past started as a way for me to dig into local mysteries, forgotten sites, and moments that shaped communities across Australia, especially around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

I research each story from original sources, old newspapers, archives, and the people who remember them. Then I turn that history into accessible videos that anyone can enjoy, whether it's a quick reel about an odd detail in the landscape or a deeper dive into a major event.

My goal is simple: make history feel close, human, and worth exploring. If my work inspires someone to look twice at a tunnel, a headstone, or a patch of bushland, then I’ve done my job!

The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future
